Get to know Janice!
I often get asked, why do I believe so strongly in unlimited possibilities? Not many can understand why I'm adamant that most ideal outcomes can be achieved and we simply need to find a way.
My belief system has to do largely with my life experiences & how I make life work for me. Growing up, I felt I was too mature for my age. Being socially awkward didn't help.
I recalled in Poly, my classmates couldn't click with me and hence I'm always alone during lesson breaks. During the 3 years in Poly, I spent most of my time in the school library which in turn rewarded me with a wealth of knowledge to benefit my career today.
Ultimately, I believe life is about mindset. We make or break our life experiences based on our life choices. I chose to make the most of my situation to win #onyourownterms.
Back then in Poly, most of the top chess players weren't doing well with their studies. As the first female President of a 90% dominated male chess club, I made it a point to show that this isn't the only way. I found a balance between school and chess. After Poly, I made it to Nanyang Technological University.
This is what I learnt about life...

Whether it is myself or my clients, I don't believe in living a life of compromise. When I first started this career, being introverted and socially awkward, I felt very uncomfortable trying to prospect using traditional methods with my warm market.
Instead of resigning myself to prospect in ways that made me unhappy, I learnt how to attract my network to work with me. To date, I've written 113 educational articles on financial planning which is read by both industry practitioners and consumers.
Since 2020, I've worked solely through reverse enquiries and specialize in working with civil servants, professionals in the medical profession and senior management executives.
